This mint block of four large stamps, issued by the U.S. on May 6, 1970, commemorated the centenary of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The stamps feature an American Bald Eagle, a herd of African Elephants, a Northwest Coast Canoe (Haida Indians), and Jurassic Dinosaurs.
