Orchids (Orchidaceae) have been a subject of worldwide fascination for centuries. On January 11, 2010, Canada Post issued this mint mini-sheet of four stamps, each featuring a different orchid variety (the Striped Coralroot, Giant Helleborine, Rose Pogonia, and the Grass Pink). Included in the sheet is a domestic rate stamp, a U.S. rate stamp ($1.00) and higher denominated extra weight/international rate stamps ($1.22 and $1.70).
